Death is not a Joyful Occurrence by Evang. S. Ade Ogunniran- Part One-Christ's Burial and God's Vengeance

 Evang. S. Ade Ogunniran
CHRIST’S BURIAL
It was prophesied that He shall be buried like the rich. Isaiah 23:9. Two prominent men were responsible for the burial of the Lord Jesus, Joseph of Ari-ma-theas and Nicodemus. It is however written that he was wrapped in clean linen cloth and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher.

Hence, they ended the process of burial of the Lord Jesus without ceremony, fanfare and dining and wining. Matt. 27:57-60; John 19:38-42.
They that loved Him were together to mourn him. Mk. 16:9-10. It was His resurrection that comforted them and put an end to their mourning. John 20:19-20.

If truly we are Christ followers, how is it that we cannot follow the pattern of the Lord’s burial and we insist to go after the idolaters, Satan has used his scheming to change a good number of Christians to become his own followers, what a pity! 1 Tim. 5:15; John 8:44.

Had it been the dead body of Christ was laid for a day, what do u think his loved ones would have been doing there? You night revealers that do perform funeral rites amidst dancing, joy, eating and drinking, as Christian, you can honestly give a positive response to his question without corrupting the scriptures.

My own answer is that the mourning on the death of Jesus would be more pronounced than that of elder Stephen and sister Dorcas. Acts 8:2; 9:36-39. Only his enemies could be rejoicing at the place. Ps. 13:3-4; Rev. 11:9-10.
If heaven could mourn because of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ and the beloved ones were not left out in the mourning for their loved ones that died, be reminded too that when Jesus was on earth, He got to the grave of Lazarus, He groaned in Himself and wept. John 11:32-36. Frankly speaking, there is no death of saint that can please God. Isaiah 38:18-19.

How is it then that we Christians of nowadays are often joyful following the death of loved ones and we are so narrow-minded unlike the Bible characters who are good leaders? Surely, those Christians that decline from the way are no more Christians rather; they have taken side with Satan, the murderer and have become his followers. 1 Tim. 5:15; John 8:44

When the devil and death shall receive judgement over the work of murder, the lovers of death cannot but partake in the judgement. The scripture says, ‘’And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire……….and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.” Rev. 20:10, 14. Therefore, the only way out from the impending judgement is repentance. Acts 3:19; 17:30-31.

GOD’S VENGEANCE
God shall take vengeance upon those that are killing his saints. Rev. 16:4-7; 18:20, 21; 19:2. It is certain that the judgement of God will come on the devil who employed death to kill people.

Death who is a servant of Satan and hell who is their accomplice shall equally receive judgement of God. John 8:44, Rev.20:10, 14.
By the time God shall condemn the devil and death for killing human being, what do u think will be the judgement of God upon those people who rejoice and celebrate with the devil and death in response to their success recorded over mankind? Something that displeases God becomes the one that pleases the devil.
